The village at squaw valley USA is an enchanting pedestrian village located at the base of Squaw Valley with approximately 300 condominium suites and a variety of boutique shops, restaurants, and galleries. Phase one or the first ascent is completed and phase two is scheduled to be completed in fall of 2003. All accommodations are steps from the Funitel and cable car of the mountain and when you're not enjoying the world-famous skiing, plentiful shopping, fishing, golfing, or horseback riding, utilize the resort's fitness center, tennis courts, or billiards lounge. There are also hot tubs with heated walkways and change rooms. Wander into the events plaza and enjoy a drink at the Starbucks, adjacent to the lobby. Cruise the retail shops, have dinner at the Balboa cafe, or grab a slice at fireside pizza, which is conveniently located next to the blazing outdoor fire pit. Lodging at the village is first class with 24-hour front desk, concierge service, grocery service, media room with big screen television, and laundry facilities in each building. Squaw Valley and the surrounding area offer unlimited possibilities- from skiing and snowboarding on one of the top mountains in the world, to ice skating, snow tubing, rock climbing, and more. Of course, there's a lot to do that only requires hanging around, like sipping a hot chocolate and gazing at our spectacular views from high camp and gold coast, or lazing in the sun of the bar one sundeck or the infamous chamois deck. For added convenience, guests can enjoy private access to heated underground parking. All units have dining rooms, fireplaces, and kitchen with heated slate floor, living room with sofa sleeper, private balcony, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Rates displayed exclude 12 percent taxes and one-time 10 dollar resort fee. The Village at Squaw Valley resort fee includes: use of the fitness rooms, whirlpool spas, media room, childrens room, and unlimited high speed internet.
